Hi Johnathan, This is just a shot in the dark but might be worth trying anyway. Since you said that Photoshop crashed, it's possible that it's preference file has been corrupted. That might be keeping Photoshop from recognizing your file? You might try resetting or replacing the preferences to see if that helps. Reinstalling Photoshop will not create a new preference file, if a corrupted preference file is your problem, reinstalling won't help.
